Dark nights ahead

It will not have escaped anyone’s attention that the nights are getting darker. In a change to previous practice from Tuesday 2 October we would like all Barnes Runners to make themselves more visible. Therefore you will be expected to wear something luminous or reflective.

The easiest and cheapest way to do this is to buy a Hi-viz running vest:

These can be found at any running shop usually for under £10.

They are on sale at £3 each on the sports direct website (currently only in pink).

Yellow ones are currently £10 on wiggle.

If you are planning on doing tack sessions trough the winter you will need a light of some sort.  A head torch that can be  angled down on to the track ahead of you is most useful. We all have our preferences, but I like the little Silva Siju Head Torch. Others in the club can advise you about their personal preferences.
