Barnes Runner Wins Something Worth Winning

What do you get the man who has won everything?
In his time, Barnes Runner Clive Tulloh has won a BAFTA, a British comedy award and a NUTS magazine programme of the year gong.
But he has never won the Stephen Instone Trophy for the Richmond Park parkrun male points table champion.
Until now. Clive was the clear winner when the points were added up today as parkrun celebrates its eighth anniversary. With 3,530 points he was more than 300 points ahead of his 1,709 rivals for the prize.
Clive celebrated the triumph by leading home the runners (ok, he was on a bike) and offering encouragement to the two clubmates who sewed up the 40-44 and 45-49 age categories between them.
Clive will be presented with his trophy next Satuday (October 13) as Richmond parkrun celebrates its fifth anniversary.
If you’re not busy at the jumble sale, why not consider coming along – there are allegedly cakes to be eaten.
If you’ve never run parkrun before (why not?), it’s free, and easy. Just register at www.parkrun.org.uk, print out your barcode and take it with you for a 9am start on Saturday.
