Final Cross Country Matches – Sat 11th Feb

The 2016 Match 4 @ Lloyd Park was definitely one for longer spikes…

The cross country season draws to a close with final matches for the Mens and Ladies on Saturday the 11th Feb.   As the brave first spring bulbs show themselves, it is traditionally a testing (and often very wet) end to the season.   The ladies have a 1200 start down in Coulsden, whilst the men have an earlier than usual 1400 start over in Lloyd Park.

Both teams have performed very well in tough leagues and a good turnout in Match 4 will make all the difference for the Men, who still have a chance of a 3rd place in the league.

It is also worth noting that one of the club’s team stalwarts, Dave Miller, will be migrating north from his new home in Brighton to bolster the ranks and share an ale or two afterwards. All runners welcome – it really is the more the merrier. (NB Experts have concluded that anyone racing the next day at Wokingham or elsewhere will NOT be affected by an afternoon loosener in Croydon).

Transport and logistics to follow on emails.  Please speak to Annabel Hagon or David Lovell on a Tuesday night run, OR email davidplovell@gmail.com with any questions.
